Hi Everyone,
Well what can i say? Lots of bad reports on my fellow competitors.I work in sales for Richard Huzzey & Co. Ltd in Newbury,so admittedly not easily accesible for all of you.The one thing that i can guarantee is that we will give you kind, courteous service and it will be hassle free. The courtesy car issue has grown some what since the September the 11th goings on and so all loan cars will have a £5-00 charge, not because we wanted to put a charge on it but simply to cover the extra insurance costs incurred since then, and we will always make sure that there is a car available subject to a few days notice.Hey, we certainly cant please everyone but we certainly try our hardest, and the proof is in the pudding so any help on anything SEAT, just give me a call, Matt Stone on 01635 42131 or matt.stone@richardhuzzey.seat.co.uk, and i will only to pleased to help out.:D

any time i get a courtesy car from agnews in belfast, its MY insurance that is used to cover the car, not the dealer so they dont/cant charge anything.
same applies to most dealers over here, im sure that its not restricted to northern ireland either.

We did have that option but after asking several of our customers what they thought, the £5 charge option seemed most popular as it was considered a small charge saving them the messing around in making sure our car was covered under their own insurance.Like i said, it was not something that we wanted to imply but it seemed the preferred option of the customer.

Hi Matt. Glad to see that you've found this site. Hope you saw my comments about you guys in this section! Sounds like Cuprasport2000 is another satisfied customer as well. Keep up the good work,

Richard

Welcome Matty. Pleased to see that we have another top dealer on board.

If you've read my threads (and the mention of the courtesey car probably means you have) you'll know I'm not too far from you really, so I have a service booked in next Friday at another dealer, but from then on, if you can provide a car (dont care what it is!) then you have a new regular customer!

Many thanks!

Andy

Well done Matt, good to see that a dealership at last has had the guts to get off there arse and show thier face on the forum and offer some constructive comments and I am sure that everybody will really appreciate that fact!

Believe you me when you see the comments from a dealer it makes you want to at least give it a go because you have been arsed to post something up on here!

Lets hope that more people with your attitude get posting on here as it must be pretty sad for you to have to view all of the disgusting comments about other dealerships and as you said not all are the same and I feel sorry for the good dealerships that get tarred with the same shitty brush!

Well done and I hope that you get some good custom, if you were bit closer then I would probably be coming down!

concur with cordobabrendy.

I got a car from Agnew's but it was my insurance that covered it.

Didn't cost anything from the insurance company or Agnew's apart from the phone call.

I drive an imported Toledo TDI so I thought my chance of a courtesy car was nil but not so.

While on the topic of dealers do they all charge the same for services or do they have local variations ?

As far as i know, servicing costs vary from dealer to dealer.
Our hourly rate here is £45-00 (not bad seeing as my dentist charged me £60 for 10 minutes work yesyterday) but from what people have told me that is reasonable.
Like i say, i think this is the case but servicing still never works out CHEAP.
Depending on where abouts you are in the country i would say that it is well worth while spending a quid on phone calls finding out your cheapest local dealer.

ours @ present is £45+vat per hour , but it will change or vary depending on area really , if it helps Graham likes round figures too :D (rounded down ones are best  )
