Hi, as i posted earlier in the week about stacking my car i been looking around and getting quotes for getting my Leon back on the road.

From the preliminary checks it looks like the following need to be replaced with new parts:

Bonnet, Front bumper, both headlamps and rims, grille and surround, and front frame.

now....one place i went to already had a nice red 20VT sitting out front with no front , and this was due to there being a lack of parts (so he said)

Is this true? what is the waiting time on these parts? do seat dealerships/bodyshops get priority on parts??

I'm gonna give the car to my dealership (kingsbury) to sort out, but the guy who runs the bodyshop department, has gone away for half term with his kids.

nope we are all in the same boat with Skoda VW and AUDI , note it seems like the boat has sprung a leak @ the moment

Damn....well...any sort of indication /estimate as to how long these parts would take to order in??

i really appreciate this if you could find out for me?

all depends on the following


they have the part listed in stock
they know where it is
they can find it
they know their left from right
they know a wheel brg is NOT a large metal panel
they know the correct cage to put it in
they know where to deliver it
they know the paperwork matches all the parts in the cage
they know what day to deliver it
they know that the panel/trim is NOT meant to be bent in half to fit in
plus many more BOOOOORING puns

IF (a BIG IF see ) ALL of the above can be verified correct you will see parts in approx 48hrs ie ordered monday be in wednesday , IF NOT then you can have a better guess than me or them to be honest as you have a better chance than anyone YES it is that bad ! ! !
