Are they a good make then Pete??

Would it be plug and play or would I need this ariel booster thingy?

I have a DH200, similar but with a cd player in it (and connected to an external HDD MP3 unit).

For ease of use it's very good, navigation and setup is easy yet customisable.

For sound quality.. it's ok.. would rate it higher than a VAG standard fit but it's no alpine. It does however have 2x pair of RCA outputs, so with an amp or two I'm sure it would be fine.

I would reccomend contacting Lee direct, as there may be some model changes in the not too distant future.

They're not a bad make by any means, not audiophile level but most MP3 players aren't they're very good at what they do.

You will need the areil booster with any aftermarket HU.

(would argue that the source is very good, using the external caddy in the house to an amp yields very very good results, it's all about the bitrate the mp3's have been recorded at)

Thanks guys - I take it Lee is the site owner?

I really want to get as top sound quality as possible for around the £400 mark.

Would I be better going for an alpine HU with a CD changer that supports MP3 CDs and have the best of both worlds?

PS: Any recommendations?

Cheers,

Scott
