Just had a 70k service on my Cupra at Jabba www.jabbasport.com (http://www.jabbasport.com)

What a breath of fresh air from dealing with 'Approved' outlets. They quoted me £175 which included all parts. The final price was £119. The were honest about the car not needing new plugs.

The staff were excellent and helpful.

On the cam belt change they instructed me that the guide is to change at 120k at the latest and the belt is very strong on a Leon Cupra.

If I need further work I will be back

Now what difference does that chip make?

Have you already had a cambelt change at 60k, or are they saying that the first change should be at 120k?

The car still has original belt.

I thought this did seem fairly high, however they do seem to know what they are talking about so I think they should know. They say that during a service the belt is checked for scarring or damage, but it is very strong. They did agree with me that it would be better to change sooner.

Jabba are a good bunch of guys. They certainly know what they're doing & are totally honest when you're talking to them on a 'one to one' basis.

I took my Corrado G60 to get the G-Lader rebuilt over to Jabba about 3 years ago.
Had a good chat with Brian & Mike whilst I was there & the mechanic advised me on a few pointers - what to look for, what need changing, etc. Also had a ride out in their 20VT powered Golf Rallye which was.......erm......quick to say the least!
