bugger me, looks hard to do, do i realy need to take out the carpet etc? glove box is ok.. but carpet to gt behind the dash?
Also do i just slit the gromet and thread the cable through? or is there ahole next to the main cables going in??
Chances are you can just fold it out of the way but Pete is following the "Rules" which, unless you are going into competition can be bent a little.

You don't have to remove the carpets no, I stripped the whole car apart because I was running all my cables and sound proofing in one go.
Yeah you just find one of the spare nipples in the grommet and cut through it, then push the cable through.
Si, 0awg goes through there really easily, the only place where space is slightly tight is going past the seatbelt anchor point.

Anyone know anywhere near worksop that would be able to do it???
I had the same problem in the Ibiza. hopefully that'll be the only problem I encounter.
I have the next couple of weeks off work to get stuck into this cos I can't live with the stock speakers anymore.

0awg is goood :D
I have a 1200.1 phoenix gold amp. ( birth cert for it says 1400wrms )
and a 400.4 phoenix gold amp ( birth cert for that says 457wrms )
which means roughly 140A
I'm allowing 7metres of cable to get into the back of the car with room to spare.
0 AWG is the only way to go.
PS.
gotta love the HUGE battery you get in the diesel.
ok so your running 2.5x what I have... :-o :-o
Battery is good as is the 120A/hr alternator..(well at least that's what it is in the toledo).
