Right you horrible lot :p

i see and talk and meet a hell of a lot of good bad and ugly people (sorry jase:p) and as most of you have found there's some good ole muckers on here that wouldn't hesitate to help with any and everything. Well i sort of had an idea  that will not only help us all out but possibly new ones too

before i start - yes i agree will possibly be a nightmare to start but once organised and settled i think is possibly my best yet

county crews possibly 2 or more (like a local rep) that are willing and able to link with each other and their closest compadres etc

what i'm thinking is these people link up to provide a country wide network so to speak for all varying uses - passing on parts - vag com - diagnosis/fitting help - demo's (mind you not sure on that one security wise) - meets - just about anything that can or will be needed to get us muckers through the day ???

e.g.

say i'm in Glos central and a guy in newcastle has a wheel i want ?

via the network they basically get wrapped at base and passed to the nearest link - passed on to next county either direct or via the 2 or 3 based there and so on and so forth and few days later (distance and availability allowed) wheel arrives

yes i know couriers do the same but can be hassle and expensive and TNT don't use vag com or show you how to code a key or help you find a guy to spray ya kit and fit it

basically these locals will be the "area know it all" so to speak and can use the position to find the best local deals/persons for what ever is required by whoever has needs car wise - and then some i spose

i'm thinking of a map with areas showing a mail/pm contact as primary source and the local reps basically have contacts to next in chain and may get us in more local meets/drinks/socials

anyway what ya reckon apart from start up hassles and numbers i'm game ????

You just want some wheels delivered free don't you! :p

It sounds like a mighty fine idea, and a lot of that kind of stuff relies on trust.

VAG-COM and help on the other hand is very cool. :)

still can't use the ETKA CD properly ....

well u know who to ask ;)

and yep trust is gonna be an issue - that's why i'm thinking of starting with known regulars - a register so to speak

and no i'm not after wheels meself but it was a chat about someone who was that sparked it off

i'mm leaning towards a system that the receiver pays before it leaves sort of thing - but then the majority of it will be freebies or help i guess

:mobile: hello - you local SCN rep here - "wossat ? you wanna offer our local members a discount via you new business open day ? :mobile:

well i do travel the country on a regular basis on weekends to god only knows where to aid mrs jase in her shopping addiction.
saul is already an owner of a grille that will be delivered when a new pasty meet is arranged, the current btcc and cupra championship has also seen some software and t-shirts change hands at oulton park,i guess paetience is a virtue on this one also,in other words "you'll get yer wheels when i come and get my brakes from X"good idea daz and also helps with the community spirit,if people plan ahead and aren't in "overnight" of a hurry it will work.
this was also our idea of the charity round britian wizz that never materalised

LMAO :roflmao:

Great Idea Flapper!! :worship:

I'd be up for this, I travel the country from time to time, mostly Leeds or Liverpool but maybe further soon due to new sites.
If I can't I have a guy that works for me who has a van who is always travelling around the country and I'm sure if I ask him nicely he could pass things along the chain

Good luck

After the pearl necklace and spit roast comments, I'm trying to word this very carefully,

"Count me in", err no.

"I'd like to take part", no ignore that.

"If you need any help, let me know". No still too suggestive.

"Think of me when you set this up". Not right.

Arrgggg.
