New Ibiza Cupra R

Just popped over from the Leon forum to ask a possibly stupid question, and hopefully one you guys and girls can answer for me.

I used to own a Y plate Ibiza Cupra, then traded it for a 210 Leon R, then traded again to a 225 Leon R. I am kinda playing the new car game and in order to make the most of it I may to buy a cheaper car next time round and wouldn't mind sticking with the SEAT brand, so my question is this ...

Have SEAT announced a Cupra R variant for the Ibiza range?! Or the FR equivilent?! I saw the yellow Ibiza at the motorshow and was impressed, I think it was cupra badged. Any info would be welcome!

I just heard a rumour that they were going to do a 'hot' version with about 220 Bhp, possibly using the engine from the Leon Cupra R?! I'm sure I read this on teh Top Gear website, so perhaps I should quote with caution ?!

Looks like I'll stick with the Leon R then, perhaps a call to REVO might be in order ....

its not going to happen a hot version

BUT saying that i will not be suprised if in the future like the MK2 ibiza went from 1.8 16V to the newer 2.0 16V then in restyle mk3 to the 1.8T as VW is sort of fazing out the 1.8T i would not be suprised if the ibiza cupra get the newer 2.0 TSI (turbo FSI units 170 & 200bhp)units from the new golf GTIs in a few years time.
