As always.. here are some questions... man I am good at questions.. :p

On a recent thread I asked about the K&N air filter (panel), and about the induction kits..

Well.. I decided that for now I will replace the panel filter in the airbox with a K&N one and then get an induction kit later in the year once I know a bit more about which one is best (more testing done by you guyz ;) )

I have therefore ordered the K&N filter (KN33-2128) and it shall arrive to me in about a week I reckon..

so........

my obvious next question is.. HOW THE FERKIN ELL DO I FIT IT?..!! lmao

I have never fitted anything to my car, and in this case definitely begrudge playing my dealership to fit a simple panel filter as I expect it should be pretty easy.. ??

Is it a case of unscrew the top of the box.. open it up.. pull the old filter out (making sure nothing drops into the box).. put the new one in (still making sure nothing drops in the box)... and then screw the lid back on... et voila..??

or.. is it more complicated..?? any special tools? any precautions..??

all assistance and advice muchly appreciated.. ;)

Cheers..

Being a little pedantic here but shouldn't that be 'Bob's'? :D

Or is it different above and below the North/South divide.....sorry, I'm bored.

Not pedantic at all mate..

indeed correct... however.. due to it being 'dads'.. I used the D in the following word to follow common alliteration..

technically incorrect however.. as it should indeed be, Robert, Rob, Bob or of course Dave.. cos me mate big dave always gets in everywhere.. !! :p

Not a north/south divide thing no... not on this occasion.

If ya bored.. nip off out the office early and go and have a half of flat shandy.. :p now there is a north/south divide.. lmao (j/k)

I share your boredom.. however I have a mountain of work to get done.. so best be getting on with it..

Four screws hold the lid on. You also need to unclip the breather by squeezing the ribbed bits and pulling. The lid and pipe to turbo etc lifts off leaving the filter panel in the bottom of the box. Replace with new one and refit top/breather. Easy but make sure it is sat properly before tightening screws.
