Here are a couple of snaps of my Ibiza two weeks ago when I went home to visit my folks on sunny Tiree. Tiree for those south of the border is one of those little floating shapes off the west coast of Scotland, you know the ones you can see on the weather map!

If they dont work its cos Ive never tried to attach an image and Im guessing at how to resize them!

Note the damage I done to my car! Driving along at 5mph and that cup holder in the back popped out and caused me to quickly reach around and catch the half full can as it was about to ruin my just hoovered carpet........looked back at the road to be faced with a telegraph pole as I had slightly veered off the little lane I was driving along.... :drive2: and voila a nasty dent in my front wing and a deeply scratched front bumper! :censored:

Anyone know where the best place is to get it fixed?

What an arse, body repairs I find are so expensive!!

Are your 17 inch alloys 7 or 7.5 width and with which tyres and size please?

Thanks

7" wide. Tyres are 205/40/17 Kuhmo Supra 712's. Don't be fooled by that name. If you check out these tyres you will find that they have beaten almost all of the more expensive tyres in the market at a fraction of the price. However seeing as this is my first car I cant give a reliable opinion on them as I have not experienced other types to compare them against. I read a lot of reviews and these things came up top in loads of tests. Although Im sure Im just opening myself up for a tirade of abuse here...... :)

So how did it happen dick?

Well I was just driving along as you do when all of a sudden this tractor came out of nowhere and nearly.....nah not as exciting as that unfortunately! I was just about to go for a spin around to a friends house to show of the car after polishing it. So I had to drive down to the bottom of our lane and turn around. (very narrow) I was crawling along at about 4 or 5 mph as there is a lot of cow shit at the bottom of the lane. As I took the little bump back onto the lane I heard the cupholder in the back unclicking, I looked around to see the can of coke, which was open, tilting over, so I reached around and caught the can just before it had messed up my just hoovered carpets. Looked back at the road to find I had slowly veered onto the grass and was facing the only telegraph pole in miles!! SHIT!!!! Swung away from the pole and just clipped my wing. It made such little noise upon impact that I thought "PHEW!" as I thought it would only need a wee rub to remove the mark......got out and " :-o :censored: " To say I felt like a total idiot would be underestimating it. Sods law that on the very rare occasion that Im driving slow I crash it. I guess that will explain why I have a £500 excess on my insurance then! So noone has helped me with locations to get it fixed, any advice in the Glasgow area?

How reasonable? If I buy a replacement wing from a company other than an official dealer, will that affect my warranty? If I get a non OEM wing would that be expected to be as good as the original? I dont even know what OEM stands for but from the numerous mentions of it in this forum I take it to mean an original part, or something like that anyway. Oh by the way Leo the photos are not that bad. In fact you may have noticed that they have been resixed to 1204X768 just for you, so now you can save that as your wallpaper!!!! How about that then eh? what a fantastic free service Im providing for you. I actually had Toxxins car as my wallpaper for months but just changed it when I figured out how to change the size. :bleh:

Have you been to Tiree? I thought no-one except for windsurfers would have heard of the place!
