View Full Version : New alloys and upgrades
Thanks for all help on tyres and sizes. I now have rs4 alloys 17 x 7.5, with 4 toyo proxes. Tyres were 68 quid fitted per corner - bargain. They are so much quiter than my old michelens.
I also got my mirrors, side strips and handles colour coded. very pleased now.
Just need the cupra rear lights and I'm sorted. Some photos of my work.
Not that good with a mobile phone camera - sorry
When's the suspension coming? ;)
The sidestrips make a lot of difference, don't they? :)
They are the newer type A6/RS4 rep wheels that are going about, they should fit over Brembo calipers with no spacers just so you know ;)
Side strips make a huge difference. A neighbour is a sprayer so did the all very cheaply and well.
Have you put your old wheels onto ebay yet?
No I haven't been round my nans with a camera...rest assured I'm doing this tomorrow!

I just got my two front tyres changed to toyo proxies today (back tyres were fine), Ive not had a chance to give them a good test yet but they where the ones I was advised to go for by a number of people so I hope they live up to their reputation. It cost me £128 for the two including VAT.
Toyos are nice sticky tyres, but have high wear.
If you want good tyres, be prepared to change them a lot!
