How many miles/km does the car on tachometer? Was the price of this car full or with reduction. It is probably that they sold you demo car.
Of course you should be the first keeper - kick them ass.

Check on the log book and see if the garage is the first owner and that you are the current owner. If so then the car was probably pre registered by the garage. Its still a new car with respect to miles done etc. but for selling it, it is effectively second hand. i got a cheaper deal because my first beezer was pre-reg. You should have been told if it was pre-reg at the time of sale. or maybe the garage has made a geniune f**k up

If your name is not on the log book you technically don't own the car :thumbd:

spoke to the garage today and they have offered me some money because i will be the second owner. when i got the car it only had 7 miles on it, so it was new. how much should i ask for (differance between new and pre-reg)

Im the second owner of the Fabia

I bought it from the dealer with 5 miles on the clock, it had been reg'd to go on as a demo car but I bought it before they could get it on the road. But I was made aware of this and had no problem with it.

1. get as much as you can !
2. according to your log book you don't have a "new" car.
3. just because it has 7 miles on the clock does guarantee it has only done 7 miles

How much...truthfully...

You should be looking for at least £1000 as this is the sort of drop that pre registered cars take when being sold at car supermarkets...it will seriously effect your resale so don't be fobbed off.....

If they don't play ball then tell them you are going to speak with trading standards.

I wouldn't think that much really...dealers do it all the time and I wouldn't think twice about it.

My mum has most of the time bought dealer demo cars. At trade in, she's told them this and they've never said it's a problem as they consider the majority of ownership where the car has been in great hands, etc...or at least that's what they say.

How many main dealers knock money off cars because of the number of owners? Whenever you've bought a used car, have you ever asked?

I'd be looking at the first service free or something like that. That's probably what they offer you anyway.

If its a 130tdi I would want the second service free as its around £200+ the first service aint to bad.
