Interior Illumination - Help

Driving along on Wednesday night and noticed that the there was no illumination on climate control, light and door panel switches. The speedo area however was illuminated. I got misses to take car to Jones of Chelmsford the next day who could not find any fault. When i got home from work to hear this news, felt a little bit stupid. I tried it out again and guess what? no illumination. I drove around a couple of times and they started to work again. Very strange, so last time i checked all was okay.

Would anybody have any answers as to why this is happening or have had similar problems.

sounds like a loose connection , try GENTLY smacking the trim to see if you can recreate the fault , if its only intermittent it will be a bugger to trace and fix http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/cry.gif

Someone on another thread (was it you?) had a similar sounding problem. It was fixed by replacing the dashboard dimmer control.

I took my car back to Jones of Chelmsford and yes same problem and i as well will be having the dimmer switch replaced.
