Well, guess it had to happen. Whilst going through roadworks this morning i managed to fall into what must have been the biggest pothole know to man. As i result my car now seems to handle like a fat lass covered in baby oil. Not pleasent! and also the front left is rubbing a bit on harder turns. Question is if i take it in to my local dealership and get them to do a full camber, alignment & tracking do i need to give them special setting or will standard do? normally get RPM to do it but i dont have time to drive the 300 mile round trip! :( as a note the car is lowered on bilstein sprintlines and has 17s. any help greatly appreciated before i call the dealership ( Sidlow in East Grinstead)
Cheers

At risk of stating the blindingly obvious, why not get on the phone to RPM and ask what settings they would normally use? And if you dropped a front wheel into that pothole paricularly quickly, make sure you get the caster checked as you may have bent a wishbone.

P.S. "like a fat lass covered in baby oil. Not pleasent!" - is that the voice of experience ;)

Would do mate but feel a bit loathed to bother them. Seems a bit cheeky considering im not taking the car to them. Besides its a nightmare getting hold of Paul! :D I may have them written down somewhere thinking about it. hmmmm. oh well couldnt get through to the dealership anyway so will have to wait till monday now. Thankfully wasnt going all that quick but will get that checked too. Dont you just love the roads in this country!
As for the fat lass comment, thankfully no. Not from experience. actually making me feel quite sick. Really nasty mental image that wont go away! :repuke:

Chances are if somethign rubs now, somethings bent..
It will be a retrack/reset no matter what now.
Wishbone?
Trackrod?
Hub?
Nasty hole you fell into.
Bad Luck.

we've been doing this today as a matter of fact, the camber is a piece of piss do it by eye i have drasticly improved the cornering of mine by tipping in the camber by only a coup[le of degrese and as i paid 35 quid only yesterday for a seat garage to **** it up completely the best bet is to do it by eye and then get it tracked.anyone can stand by your car and see if the wheels are on the piss in any direction so i done it by hand and it feels far better in the bends and we set mark-p's car up on new suspension and it handles like a dream flat as anything thr the bends
