One thing that's annoyed me for a while now is that every time i plug in a serial/gps cable ActiveSync thinks it's a PC connection and pops up. After a while it times out and lets me get on with things but i wondered how easy it would be to disable it. So i wrote a tiny, free app to do it. It's XSCALE/ARM compatable and PPC2003. No idea if it works on other devices. Anyway, in case it's useful to you, here it is.
Simply drop the app on your device and run it.
