Sodding typical..

I ordered my K&N replacement filter (KN33-2128) for my Beeza Cupra.... ordered it from Larkspeed.. who are fairly large, and fortunately have a place in Hull so I could go and pick it up.. and I get a call this morning saying that due to the part being fairly new and sought after there is a 4 week wait on the part, as they are having to source them from the states..!!! :(

not happy.. was hoping to get it in and sorted.. oh well.. willjust wait.. it isn't deadly important.. just wanted to get it done.

Anyone else had problems getting K&N's for their 1.8T's..?? or is it just my local larkspeed arsing about and not buying from the right supplier..??

any of you guys that own/work at tuning houses that supply the filter got any in stock at the moment..??

suppose I could think about getting my EBC's on in the mean time.. as I have had them in my boot for about 3 months.. lmao

Sounds a bit like bull considering that the K&N factory is in Warrington :)

and that they dont have SEATs in the states.

The filters and their sizes are'nt 1.8T dependant but car dependant.
I smell BS.

Car dependent?

Well, according to K&N the filter that APR are using for their upgrade to the Ibiza is actually a part for the Audi A3 1.8T, and it doesn't mention anywhere the SEAT. I just assumed that the A3 and the Beeza Cupra have the same airbox (out of the same parts bin init).

I was a bit surprised that it would take that long, however it is possible that they just don't have any available for sale to Larkspeed (at the price they want) at the factory at present..??

I aren't in too much of a hurry, and I aint driving anywhere to collect one from another place, so will just have to wait until Larkspeed in Hull get one in I suppose..

oh well.....

Car dependent - as in not generic for a 1.8T engine.
Skoda Octavia RS, Skoda Octavia 4x4, Seat Ibiza 20VT, Seat Leon 20VT, Audi A3 1.8T, Audi A3 1.8T Sport 4x4, etc etc etc you get the idea.

"can I have an airfilter for a 1.8T engine please" -

There is probably a cross over between the VAG models... like you say the A3 perhaps has the same filter size.

Ive got a RamAir panel filter in my Leon. Its a Golf IV /A3 fitment. the Leon is identical.

The Ibiza's is a smaller Airbox so i doubt this filter fitment would fit. But it may be the same size just not as deep as the Leon/Golf/A3 airbox.??

Side by side coparison needed i think

Gocha...

At first thought you meant there would be one for the Beeza Cupra, then a different filter for the A3, etc etc.. which was worrying as the one I was told to get is listed as an A3 part.

I think quite a lot of places don't actually have the Beeza Cupra's listed for the parts yet in the catalogues.. seem to only have the older shape beeza and the Cupra R listed. I know that the Ibiza 1.8T that is in the Larkspeed book isn't actually the normal Cupra, it is the Cupra R, as I ended up with the wrong EBC brake pads due to that, and had to go back and get them changed.

Anyone would think that the Beeza Cupra is new, but it has been around for a couple of years, but still there is only a very small amount of info around regarding it.
Quite strange really.. considering it is such a quality car... If you have a nova you can get anything you want.. which is daft.. cos who would want a nova in the first place.. :p lol

I'll just keep waiting... will get there in the end.. heh
