ok, had my black FR for all of 2 week, got 2 stone chips on the bonnet in the first week, I hadn't been through any loose chippings or anything etc. - I put that down to bad luck.
Washed the car this afternoon and noticed that the paint on the edge of BOTH doors is scuffed and is beginning to come off!! This is my first new car and I am ultra obsessively careful with it so there has been no accidental bangs on any other cars or walls etc, and that part of the door is too high to hit anything anyway.
I'm not happy, but I don't know what to do? Take it back and get dodgy Seat customer service to fix it or keep touching all these chips up? It says nothing in the paintwork warrenty about chips etc.. just defects in the paintwork.

Great car apart from that though :D

Was your previous car black. I am having pretty much the same problem however putting it down to..

a) The Car is black so more obvious
b) Black paint is alot softer than any other colour
c) My old car was that scratch ridden I wouldnt have noticed a few more :D

Yep the quality of SEATs paint ain't exactly great, its been discussed and ranted about many times on here (particularly by me). That however sounds a bit more serious as its flaking off, I would give the dealer a ring and see if they will sort it first. If they start being a pain then phone SEAT direct. Good luck.

Nah mi old one was silver which doesn't show anything much, and it was old and done 96k so yeah it to was covered in scratches and chips.

I think I had a possible overreaction  to finding a load of chips n stuff on my first brand new car!! I went to the dealer they treated me like crud so I spoke to the manager who was much nicer and kindly offered to fix the door and door sill as he had no idea what caused them. Nothing can be done bout the bonnet chips as he says they are just stone chips. Fair enough.

Gonna go paint the chips and apply many layers of wax.

Cheers!
