Hi ya,

How much did it cost to get the calipers painted? Or did you do it yourself?

Cheers,

Syphon

IT DIDN'T COST ALOT TO PAINT, I WORK FOR A SEAT DEALERSHIP, I HAD A SMALL BODYSHOP DO IT, IT WAS AROUND £60. WHAT CAR DO YOU DRIVE, AND WHAT HAVE YOU HAD DONE TO IT.

60 quid???
think i might go into business if people will pay that !!
You can buy the paint for 17 quid includes hardener, paint and brake cleaner, the actual job of painting them couldnt be simpler, take off the wheel, paint the calliper and leave it for an hour or two before putting the wheel back on!!!repeat 3 more times!!
60 quid?? feckin 'ell!

Well I bought some red calliper paint in Halfords today - £4.99.

I also bought some brake cleaner - £3.99

Also a pair of axel stands so I can prop the thing up. Never taken a wheel off in my life  - luckily my mate's going to come over and give me a hand with it on Sunday.

The instructions for the paint says the callipers should be touch dry in 2 hours. How long before the car can be driven?

Do they stay reasonably clean? I still have the standard Cupra Leon alloys. Might be difficult to get through the "spokes" and clean the callipers. The wheels take me long enough to clean!

Cheers,

Syphon

just clean em regurlarly, and the odd cloth through the spokes helps restore any lost colour.
