Vagcom 8v cupra

Im thinking of gettin vagcom, but am a bit unsure about a few things.

My car is a mk2 8v cupra sport, what exactly can I do with a vagcom?

what are the lengths of cable available?

my remote central locking isnt working can I fix this with vagcom?

Can I make my car any quicker with it?

diagnostics only on teh 8v - that & throttle body angle & rpm

useful for diagnostics though.

yep, as mark said, just for diagnosis.

length of cable - depends whos selling it, usually they are about half a meter or so

you couldnt fix broken central locking with vag com but u might be able to find out which part is faulty

nope, no quicker.

I have serial port VAG-COM and made a serial extension cable approx. 12m long so I can plug directly into my home computer - works fine. :)
