I borrowed some mk2 golf subframes to mount my buckets in my Cordy yesterday, however the mk2 golf frames are about an inch too narrow! I thought they had the same runners, and that someone on here has mk2 gti seats in their cupra? Anyone shed any light?:confused:

i was told that it was polo subframes for my beeza- '99, not sure if that helps.

The type of runner and mounting is the same, but there are a number of different spacings used throughout the VAG range. If you look through a subframe application guide, you'll see several different subframes for different VAG cars. Now, if I were a cynical man (;)) i'd suggest that this was needless profiteering by subframe manufacturers. This isn't the case. The spacings are different.

BTW Scott - do you have any plans for your soon to be redundant standard Seat seats?...

yes, i'm going to mount them on casters and use them as office furniture :p
Actually i'm going to keep hold of them. I don't know how log i'm going to keep the cordy so I want to put them back in when I sell it.
If only I could get hold of a batch of the damn things, i'd be rich!

BTW, as I mentioned to Marky mark markson no.10, I can get hold of fixed buckets for 68quid plus delivery if anyone is interested, oh, and you'll have to get subframes - not mk2 golf ones!:D

Cheers Guys' - i'll look into the polo 4 subfames.

GZA - afraid the recliners and buckets only come in one solid colour - either black,red,blue or yellow.

In answer to the first question - they can supply subframes, but i'm not sure on how much yet.
In answer to the second - SC Performance are becoming dealers for the company that supplies the seats and Stuart is just waiting for the price list and bumph to come through. I will be scanning what pics/prices I have in tomorrow (yes I actually will - been lazy with the trackday!) So if you want a pic of them please mail;
TheP@another.com
and i will send them out for you. If several people want to place an order (which seems likely) I'll try and get you a club discount.
:D

Scotty,

Are you the bloke with the Lime green cordoba that turned one exit too early at Brunty with me following, and then another 10 people behind? We all ended up going over the grass! ;)

Okay the prices are as follows;
(as I thought the subframes are quite expensive!)
For the Recliners the price is;150.40gbp + 54.60gbp for the subfame, a total of 205GBP, but SC Performance will offer them to SEAT owners for 190GBP each if several sets are ordered (looks likely)

For the Buckets its: 79.90+54.60 gbp a total of 134.50gbp or to SEAT owners 125GBP

For the rs2 replicas, please phone SC Performance Directly, however its basically 255GBP + 54.60 for the subframe, special offers depending on interest.

Prices include VAT but exclude P@P for which you're looking at about a tenner apparently.

Phew!

Any queries drop me a mail.

Its all your fault Glyn, if you hadn't been competing in the burger contest you would have been out in my group and I could have followed you!:p
