Got to take the Cupra out for just over an hour and managed to take it on some A roads and a stretch of motorway which is the reason I'm looking to buy a diesel.
Compared to my Type R the when you start off it's got no where near as much poke but once on the move these baby's shift! I was doing 40 as i entered the slip road for the motorway in third and by the time i hit the motorway and looked down at the speedo i was hitting 90! it seemed to pull very easily and was really comfortable cruising at 80mph only doing 2.5k rpm my Type R is going over 4000 rpm at this speed and drinking juice :( So that’s a big  for the TDI
The interior is similar to the Type R the seats are supportive and i like the Cupra motive stitched in :) the dash is a little dull but as i understand it I can buy bits to jazz the dash up a bit like chrome vents etc, which is cool. My wife sat in the back for part of the test drive and found it very comfortable.
The ride is firm but not as firm as the civic which isn't a bad thing the steering was sharp and it handled well on the twists of the A roads, I'd say it's almost on a par handling wise with the Type R which i feel is a great handling car only let down by it's lack of feedback which i noticed in the Cupra too.
The only thing that lets the Cupra down a bit for me is i think it looks like it's riding a little high it needs to be dropped 20mm to look more aggressive.
All in all the car was a great drive and the power surprised me  I will be having one [B)] As the Type R has to go :( it's just not a long distance commute car. I'll have to do a few little mods to make the Cupra mine but I like to tinker.
Going to have to get used to low revs I stalled it twice
I'm going for Black as my Type R was red and although I love my Type R and will be sad to see it go but i fancy a change. I use Meguiars (fantastic stuff!!!) and will keep on top of it so it should look the nutts all the time!
Things that I'm going to have done to it are lower it slightly 20mm should do it :) Get it Revo'd (Should become a Type R killer if it's kicking out 200bhp) Going to buy some bit's and pieces to the interior and upgrade the sound system (always has to be done :D )
Anyway if anyone else gets to have a go in one let me know what you think :)
