first time using vag com and im having problems. i was able to clear some abs fault codes no problem, but when it came to engine fault codes it kept coming up cant synch baud rate. according to ross tech its only a matter of changing the baud rate on the options screen to 9600 or 4800 or 1200. this didnt make a button of difference. help!
on the obd2 compatability test it came upincorrect byte $b5 whatever that means.
what lead have you got and what software version etc??? Did you have ignition on??

conrad im going to be about belfast at different times tomorrow, ill have my laptop with me if you wanna try my lead and software.
lead and software worked on brendys car today. on the check screen, im getting the message "fast synch compatible:no" someone must know something!!!

:redface: ill have the laptop charged and have the adapter with mme tomorrow if you fancy having a crack with my laptop. got a few jobs on so not sure what time im gonna grab my lunch "hour and a half!" :roflmao:

fast synch compatible:no...thats normal mine says that....you have the slower lead thats all... It should still work fine..mine does

it brings up the error and nothing else!
ill try ity again tomorrow with a proper serial port on my laptop. i still think its gotta do with the usb lead/port.
