Got a new forge dump valve fitted on Saturday as recommended by this very site.

I am very pleased with it. Anyone who has not had their crappy stock unit replaced - DO SO NOW! You won't regret it. Gear changes are a lot smoother. It just drives that little bit nicer. (Especially if your stock one is on its last legs as mine was!)

Do the right thing.

Cheers yall.

Glad you agree. I would have fitted it myself but I'm prone to breaking things.

Enjoy!

Where is the best (cheapest!) place to get a forge dump valve including P&P??

Talk to Daz @ Amethyst on 01242 586323. I bought one last week for £79.98 inc p&p. If you go to Forge direct they want over £100!

Cheers, will do. I presume your insurance isn't affected as it provides no performance gain, just reliability....

You could try John Burton at SJB Sport. Thats who I got mine from. Cant remember how much it was though.

if anyone is gonna buy a forge DV, i would advise u to go for the FM dv007 it is the same as the 006 however it is smaller and lighter.

the dv 006 that i have just fitted is really a little to heavey for the air intake pipe and it also knocks on the air con pipe that runs behind it, gonna have to see if i can build a bracket to stop this

Damn. I wish I hadn't bought it from Forge direct now. The whole thing cost £30 more that I needed to pay!

Oh well, such is life. I am still very pleased with it though.

I got the 007. According to the Forge website it is only for Bi Turbo engines. ??

Is this true or could I have got the smaller one?

guys,
i have changed all the dump valves:
forge, turbodynamics,xs.Like the stock valve with the N at the end is neither of them.During road racing from lights the stock is the best.Just try it against a car with an aftermarket dump valve(they have lag at very quick gear changes)

I've been onto StarPerformance, and Jim is gonna do one fitted for £79.99.

Going to see him tomorrow or Monday :D
