Hey all

Just a quick post to let you all know that JBS are now able to take orders on their fantastic new PD TDI Nitrous Oxide System.

Using Custom REVO Technik Software with a switchable Nitrous Programme (switched via an SPS controller) the system allows full drivability and BLISTERING performance when on OR off gas.

SPS Controller:

Position 1
Stock Mode

Position 2
REVO Technik (180bhp from a PD130 for example)

Position 3
Nitrous Programme (Like Position 2, until WOT...)

How it works:

Before you set off, open the bottle.

Get into the car and, using the SPS Switch, select Position 3. Wait for the beep, then remove the SPS Switch.

Drive normally, trying not to use WOT all the time... (You shouldn't need to anyway, it's quick enough lol).

Get into a position where you would like to use the Nitrous (to overtake a truck for example).

Flick the "ARM" switch

Wait until it is safe to do so, then put your foot to the floor!!!

Once you've overtaken the truck, let off the accelerator slightly, then disarm the system by switching the "ARM" switch off.

Simple as that.

If you know you're not going to be using nitrous on the journey, simply choose the 2nd Position on the SPS switch before setting off (you can of course leave it on the 3rd Position, just try not to use WOT).

Price on application (as I'm not sure of the total cost just yet), but for your money you get:

FULL Custom Installation (and these guys know how to make a VERY neat and stealthy installation).
Custom REVO Technik Map
REVO SPS1 Switch
5lb Bottle
Highest Quality Pulsoid
Throttle Position Sensor
Digital Progressive Controller
Basically everything you need to make it work!

YOU KNOW IT'S GOING ON MY NEW FABIA!!!!! :D

what happens if you use WOT on position 3 with nitrous off?

As explained on uk-mkivs when I asked the Q as well...

The special REVO program dumps extra fuel in ( as the NOS must be a dry system ) when you hit WOT. So if you have it switched off and boot it, then you'll run mega rich. Dunno what that does on a derv but not good news I would think.

Well on a petrol engine that would be disasterous I would have thought, but I don't know much about smokie tuning :D

Just wondering ,dont know much about this but does the N20 give you a cleaner burn ? How would it affect the mpg and exhaust emmissions ?

All I know is that if you do WOT without gas, it "smokes like a biatch" but when you run with the gas, it's clean as a whistle... No smoke seen!

Yeah Since no smoke seen when gas is on means a clean burn so in theory means greater efficiency and more mpg/lower emmissions.
Why dont all cars run on a system like this then?

Would that be on top of the extra 40 bhp that my Revo remap already puts out? As i already have Revo and SPS 1 would it be cheaper to get the kit?

cheers

Yes that's on top of the REVO remap...

So around 220bhp and about 330lbft in total.

If you've already got the SPS switch then that'll save you some dosh... I'm sure if you talk to JBS they'll advise you regarding the remap.

It should actually engulf (dunno if it makes sense in english tho).

I talk by experience: the remap I run has tons of fuel added. (revo would be a dream but there ain't no dealer in Italy). If I floor the car in 1st and don't shift up within a tenth of a second then too much fuel goes into the cilynder and car smokes like hell and goes crap until it cleans out (bout 5 minutes).
This is the reason why I never floor it in 1st anymore.
I had this problem too when I once put in 3rd and was way too fast and it engulfed too that time.
Had no prblem after it had clened out anyway.
