Yesterday, I picked up my shiny milltek exhaust system from AMD (bargain for a full system at £440+vat) , and headed from there up to Revo HQ in Daventry, to meet up with m0rk, toXXin, Revo Kev, Nick Cupra R and JoJo.
Kev and Nick were readying their cars for next weekends ring trip, and Kev had kindly arranged for us to use revo's facilities to work on our cars.
m0rk and toXXin kindly and ably assisted in the fitting of my exhaust. (in fact I think they did most of the work, thanks!).

In the end we've only fitted the middle and rear section of my exhaust system for now.
This is because on the Ibiza to remove the downpipe, you have to remove some of the intercooler pipes. As I'm changing my intercooler shortly anyway, it makes sense to leave that for now.

Fitting was quite labourious - and wasn't entirely straightforward.

A reducer is needed (and wasn't supplied with my system) for connecting the milltek's 63.5mm (2.5") pipes to the standard (58mm?) pipes.
Thankfully kev had one on hand which was ideal.

This may be supplied if you just buy the backbox, but if not, its something to watch out for.

The end result is, the engine sounds a lot more 'meaty', obviously with the CAT not having been changed, there's no perofmrance gain yet, I'll have to wait for Part 2 when my intercooler comes in, to do that.

It looks like it was meant to be there though, especially with the FR rear lower valance.

Once I find my camera I'll take some photos. :)

Thanks to all those who helped, and to Revo for the use of their premises :D

Edit to say: really like the look and sound of the milltek, it seems well made, and asides from the lack of a suitable reducer (which maybe supplied if you jut buy the backbox, I don't know), been happy with it. Can't wait to get the downpipe and cat on... :)

The more i see the straight back tubing, the happier i am with the turned down piping.. :p :runaway:

If you buy the CAT back system Milltek will supply the reducer. If you buy the full system there is little point as it wont be used, I guess Milltek assumed that as you bought a full system you would be fitting it all not part of it.

But deffo looks good, thumbs up matey.

Is the exhaust especially for the ibiza or is it a fabia vrs one that needed the rear valance cut to fit?

The exhaust is for the Fabia vRS or Ibiza (just requires an FR rear valance).
