I am intending to go to Impossible Performance next week to get by Ibiza Upsoluted. I was intending to get a dump valve fitted at the same time. They don't stock Forge, but stock TurboXS instead. Anybody had any experience of these? Are they comparable to the Forge dump valve?

Cheers

not had any experience with them , but if it helps :

make sure you are able to dismantle them as they do get a bit gunged up after a while (ask mosser) :D

they have a warranty ?

and NOT the WOOOOSH type as they seem to lose power on a 20vt

Not meaning to afend anyone but iam not sure that impossible is the best place to take ure car, i my opinion Which (which were all intitled to) jabbasport would be the best place to go, for around £450 mike at jabbasport will fit u his adjustable boost controller and a remap, which going off waynes car should see u to easy 200bhp without running silly boost pressures.

i myself was going to take my car to impossible untill i read something on a site.

have a look for ureself

Looks like it's been taken off line. The source just opens a banner window and that's it..

I have read the link, and this guy hasn't had a problem with a chip, but with Turbo.

Many people on this site have got the Upsolute chip, & there hasn't been too much negative feedback. Don't think it will put me off.

With everything, there are always going to be horror stories, but if we all listened to them, we wouldn't even leave the house in the morning.

I have just read the site and Blimey!!, he is not happy with his turbo conversion

So maybe i will just say that i have got an Upsolute chip in my leon, and have done 30,000 miles with it in and have had no problems with it at all !, it gives out exactly the amount of power they state, i have verified this with my vag-com on several occasions,

I bought a rather nice boost gauge from him on another visit to his workshop (he does have one!!) and fitted it myself and it is working perfectly !!, so i havent had any problems with the guy or Impossible performance!, he has always been very helpfull when i have contacted him to ask questions about my chip and boost gauge and about fitting it myself!

Hi guys
The guy who brought the turbo kit decided he wanted to fit the kit, without all the parts,
He does not say that when he frist had a problem we offered all of this money back but he decided to go ahead, he then came across another problem which we again offered has money back, he did find a few bolts missing but this was sunday morning and we said we would sent the bolts frist thing monday morning, but he said he wanted to get the kit fitted on, so he said he would make this own.
I still have half of this parts with me here, powered coated pipes flanges etc.
The cost of the kit is $2650.00 from EIP plus shipping, about $150-200 so not including import dutys and vat the kit work out £2000.00.

In all honesty - I really don't think that you should be on this forum talking about things that there are legal procedings about.

Makes for entertaining reading on his website.

Quite funny that he bought the domain name too.

maybe as part of your settlement you could buy it off him? It's better designed too :)

You could say the same for the other guy too really, because of his web site, it is going to cost Mik a lot of business, if the other Bloke is unsuccesfull in his court case then i'm sure mik will be counter sueing for loss of business due to bad publicity and the spreading of misleading information,

Everything between the two of them should have been sorted out privately in court really

Mik, might be worth you leeching the other guys web site as evidence just in case you need it in court and he takes it down after realising what he is doing!

can't use websites as eveidence (I think) as they can be editted by a potential 3rd Party)

if he leeches it he's breaking copyright isn't he?

BUT

in this country we have laws to protect consumers & not business'

maybe it's 1/2 dozen of one & 6 of the other

Mic isn't going to say he did a shit job, nor would the guy admit he over estimated his abilities

so it will be interesting to watch.

Hi
I know this does not belong here, but it all happened back in September last year, there as only been two letters sent between me and the other party, We only suppled the parts, which we offered a complete refund because of the problem but he choose to go ahead and fit the kit anyways.

Back to TurboXs Dump valve Yes fully adjustable and serviceable, lifetime warrenty etc...

Me thinks the only one to benefit from this will be the lawyers :(
Good luck to you.

Mike

I hate to say this but you really are a liar.

This is not how events occured, I know because I was there. I came along to pick up the remainder of the kit, which by the way we collected in the Beetle so how the hell we started the install before having a complete kit I don't know.

You did not offer a refund. You rang the company that installed your sisters kit and told us they had to extensively modify the manifold (tubular) to get it to fit. You told us to bend the air con pipes at first, then told us they had to be cut and rerouted on your sisters car. You told Paul that the Superchip wqould be fine, this is not the case. You did not offer to send out the bolts on the Monday. You did offer to get a tubular manifold made but it would take 4~6 weeks to get it, at this point the Beetle was undriveable so that was not an option.

I don't think the intention here is to put you out of business, people make mistakes and things do go wrong, as you know with regards to your complete failure to get the pipework powder coated after four weeks, and your inability to supply the sump fittings. If you had been reasonable and paid up the extra costs incurred in getting the car going again then I am sure paul would not have gone to these extremes, I certainly am looking forward to a trip to court.

I won't tell people where to spend there money, after all I suspect for simple things like dump valves and stick on bits, Impossible performance is just as capable of supplying as any other box shifter.

Thanks

Simon

This is going a bit far now chaps, as legal issues are and may ensue from this, im closing this down.
