engine transplant

Hi,

I own a '96 P reg old bumper style Ibiza 1.4. I have performed various performance upgrades and the thing now handles better than any regular car. However the power is pathetic. I am seriosly considering an engine transplant. Could some nice people give some info on this subject such as engine mount points, ECU changing etc etc. What engines can I put in an ibiza? For instance couls it take a G60 or 1.8 20VTurbo?

Hi - I spoke to Stealth Racing re: this - they recon on 2k of labour plus the parts (3.5k - which you supply to them)

what you want it a mashed (at the back) 20VT

Try http://www.dubsport.com They can put any VW based motor in to virtually any VW based car. Try a Ibiza VR6 or a G60 supercharged Ibiza. If you get a minute can you let me know what mods you've done to your "old bumper" I have one and wana mess about a bit with it
