Just a bit of info for anybody wanting to wire an amp into a beezer 20vt and wondering how to find a remote...I have just wired an amp into me motor and for the remote i used one of the pins in the CD changer lead in the boot...one of the pins will function as a remote and turn your amp on with your stereo...cool eh?

I have also managed to eliminate any 'HUM' or 'BUZZ' from the engine by using an electronic subwoofer crossover which has high level input.

I am well pleased with the job as I was expecting to have to give it up as a bad job after reading some of the posts on this site. cool!:D

It's the easiest thing to dismount the front trim - only two screws and than behind it you have the radio. In the ISO connector use the black wire, it's the third one on top. This is the remote.
Work great without any pops in your sub when you turn the radio on.

There were some post here that taking the remote from the CD changer connector is not good.

Would have thourght it would be fine, I know a few things about electronics and such. The remote is low voltage and has no output at all. If the amp spiked it would only afffect the speakers.

All the remote does is act like a relay, using a small voltage to swith a larger voltage.
