Member picture part to forum

Just been thinking maybe this would be a good idea to put in place? Yes I did do a seach so if it has been discussed before please point me in the right direction.

We see piccys of peoples cars all the time but as for a who's who on here it can be fairly difficult. It could help people at meets, events and the such like who are new to identify people rather than feeling like a fool asking around for seatcupra.net people. It would also be nice to see faces of others who you may not meet often as they live far away - especially some of the guys from abroard on here??

What do people think?

There was a Thread EON's ago with people putting pictures of themselves.......as Neg says you will get idiots posting pictures of Brad Pitt instead

Yep true about that - but if they do they should be removed - maybe a part in the meets section could be a good plan - just think on from some of the piccys from the other night and various SCN events that are held - we have piccys of cars lined up so maybe one with the owners in too - saves people putting silly things up that way too??

Bet the face that goes with it, I mean them, would be a treat to see. ;)

Would be a nice idea though although i'm not really photogenic (is that the word :confused: ) and I suppose other people might be embarrased, maybe, about posting a picture and that would lead to all sorts of other things being posted instead.

I know sorry about that but a picture in the forum would be good though as i have not been on the forums long and when out and about it would be good to see the odd familiar face to say hello etc at meets and events.

True it has gone a little off topic - it may be interesting for some members though, it would be optional but how many times do you wonder what a certain person looks like, build a mental image and then get shocked to see them in real life? I've met a few of you guys over the last few months but those who live further afield I've no idea what they look like?

Yep I was wondering about the space thing but a headshot (mugshot) of small size would cause no harm I guess like peoples signatures and avatars with a picture link maybe?? It was just a thought really as I remember the first meet I went to - ended up asking some random people in the pub until I found the right people. Really upto the people running the site as it would be a little difficult to manage I imagine.

the images are resied to 800x600 automatically on the readers rides, so it's no restriction - it'll also compress the file size too.
