I telephoned my dealer above today to ask them to look at my car as the alarm keeps going off. I had the police at my door as the neighbours are going spare. It goes off EVERY day. Anyway this is the second time I have phoned them with this problem and the second time the dealer has been completely unhelpfull.

The first time was just before xmas and the service department were un-interested and clearly only thinking about xmas and not customer care. They were NOT open in between xmas and new year. Pathetic. I ended up taking it to Drive in Kirkcaldy - excellent service.

This time they were fully booked for the forseeable future, they are not open weekends and were not willing to even try and help with the time I had available this week. They wouldn't even start to humour me. I can't aford to take a day off work to just be told nothing is wrong with it or bring it back next week.

There is another person on this forum who bought his car from this crowd and they are treating him really bad at the mo, I won't give details incase he doesn't want to publicly slate them.

Next port of call Seat customer care and a good dissing to crap old Arnold.

Seat reading this ? , I hope so

To stop the neighbours killing you, try switching the direction of the air to the windscreen before switching the ignition off. Or disable the interior sensor with the button behind the drivers seat if it doesn't make any difference.

Hope that helps until you get the sensitivity sorted.

Been to both Park hall ( Where I bought the car ) and Livingston's of Udingston and so far so good .

When I wasn't happy with a couple of bits I went back to Parkhall and they got 60% sorted ( they even tryed to fit my Audi cup holder where the credit card holder is ......OK so they broke it whentrying to fit it but they have pledged to order in one and fit it soon !!!

I will prob get it serviced at Livingston's as they are the closest to myself and Park hall is a 3 day camel treck away :p and they seem pretty helpfull !!!!

I bought a Cordoba from Elderslie a few years back ; I got no end of hassle from them. Typical bloody Arnold Clarke customer (lack of service).

They even bullshitted me about performing a service on it (yeah - they replaced the dirty air filter with one just as dirty ... almost identical one would say).

I wish SEAT would find someone other than Arnold Clarke as a dealer ...

Thanks Gents ~ was just about to post a "anyone any experience of "W. Livingstone of Uddingston"? thread.

Sounds like their a better idea than "the other mob".

10K Leon service:-
£121 Arnies in Edinburgh
£91 Arnies in Elderslie
£56 W Livingstone

Just hope they don't give me the
<screw up face like proverbial bulldog licking p1ss off a nettle>
"I this an import???"
as they practically throw my keys back at me.......

Not that that just happened at AC of Edinburgh when they carried out a warranty repair of course.....

Ive had very varied service at AC elderslie. Sometimes they cant help enough, sales manager seemed nice enough, but i was in there alot at the time.

Found the receptionist quite rude and i dont think she liked me after a small disagreement where the manager had to put her right over the price i was willing to pay for something.

While im writing -

Livingstons was very nice, helpful and friendly service, especially when i mentioned to him about the owners club, he said that a bit of good PR on here would be much appreciated.

AC Edinburgh... don't get me started, im still waiting for a refund on a deposit on a car which i rejected as they couldn't fix it, and i was promised the money back a month ago... a nice formal request went into the post this morning. Add to that a salesman who lied regarding the problem with the car i wanted " just requiring a part chaged under a recall notice" then 4 weeks later being told we just cant sort the car, we think it needs an entire wiring loom! So i wouldnt use them again!

so thats my 2p worth!
