I know we have been down this road before (excuse the pun) but I want the definitive opinion on wether OPTIMAX produces better BHP that normal 95RON. I have noticed the price of OPTIMAX starting to climb again and I use a lot of it.

The question....is 95 equal/less/better that OPTIMAX in the 20VT engine in standard form..and then in chipped form?

On a totally different subject..I want to get some new suspension for my car 20vt (ibiza), I have notices that various companies do kits starting from £250..has anybody gone an alternative to route to the PSS9's ?

Not sure if this is of any help to you BlueCupra, but I've been using Optimax in my Ibiza 20VT for the past 20000 miles, first 10k were on normal unleaded/super on and off. I find that Optimax definitely makes the engine more responsive and it revs a lot more happily....I regularly take it to 6k now, whereas with normal unleaded it seemed reluctant to do so. As for recorded bhp changes I have no idea, but come on......it's worthit for those scratch cards alone isn't it?!? I won a snickers bar the other day! lol :D

As far as your susp. query goes, I'm looking for susp. for my car too......have you looked at Bilstein Sprintlines? They always seem to produce good kits....had one on a Saxo VTS not so long ago and it really sorted the ride out beautifully. Good combination of lack of body roll but smoothness over road irregularities too. Not sure what it's like on an Ibiza. Thought about spacers? Cheap(ish) way to widen the track of the car and maybe bring about a little improvement in handling too. Whatever you do, have fun and good luck! Keep us informed if you do go for a susp. kit toooooo ;)
