Okay, so i've just picked up my new Ibiza Cupra.
I traded in my old 1.4 1998 Ibiza cos it was toooo slow, but i had a fairly comprehensive ICE system in it including:
Mini Disc headunit
10 disc changer
component speakers (Sony front, Pioneer rear)
2x10" sub (isobaric)
4x 65w rms amp
firstly i would like a digital audio signal, ie. cd changer, are there any adaptors????
is there a compatibility list anywhere?
Help!

You can get an adaptor for Sony CD / MD changers through a promotion being run by Sony called Sound on Top. The company who make the actual adaptor box is called Connects 2.
I found the cheapest way to get the adaptor ordered was through Halfords, as I did not have to pay for postage. I think it was £50.
Had it all set up last year and has worked without a hitch.

Ok, I've ordered one from Halfords 50 quid.
I'll let you know how it goes,
PS any ideas where I can get a shorter Sony Changer (control) lead?
Cheers

Talking of adapters for CD Changers,.....
Ive got a Pioneer 6 disk changer, is there any way that I can get this to work with the standard stereo in the Ibiza Cupra?
I think autoleads do short Unilink (Sony) leads check thre website or give um a bell:)

Try going to www.cel-direct.com and look in the factory CD section...
I get all my stuff from them, phone 0116 2449846 to speak to someone who can give you advice...
They have changers from £150 ( sony )... You can also get a minidisc changer that fits...

Like I said I get all my gear from them. They are authorised dealers for everything they sell but will price match.
All the staff, ( apart from the telesales woman ) are very knowledgeble, especially a guy called Ian.

Ok I'm all done, I HAVE 10x CDs!!!
I took off the dash, removed the stereo unit, unplugged the cables. Plugged in the new cable, (replacing the blue portion of the top multiway connector)
I fitted the adaptor, which has to go in the dash, I mounted it behind the glovebox.
I ran the cables, using the full length ones that came with the sony changer to the boot.
After filling the 10 disc up, i F-Fwd to the end of disc 6 and it went to the begging of disc 7!!! and so on etc. TA DA!
So with my amp sub and NEW Pioneer custom fits in the edge shelves, I'm back to a proper sounding stereo.
