Flapper:

I think I've seen a thread somewhere about getting the flip out key for use on Leon's but I can't find it anywhere.

Is it possible to get one of these keys for a Leon Cupra?

Cheers

Pugster

VW's, Audi's, Skoda's all come with them - i was really looking forward to getting one with my seat......

I still want one.

I've had a look at the flip out ones and it looks like the blade can be changed easily. the alarm system is most likely the same so wheres the problem?

I know what you mean. I've just got my new Leon as was a bit disapointed it didn't have one. My father in law got one with his Passat and that's a base model

/me reaches for his keys.

DOH - same here.

Flapper - can you get hold of normal spare keys? and if so how much?

Anyone got one of those flipout keys I can play with (read destroy) to see if I can swap the innards....

I got 433.92!!!

Is there anything else I need to check, or should that mean I can get one?

I need another spare key anyway, so this would be a good way to do it!

Mine is also 433.92 - i assume thats what Pugster was getting at. The flip fobs internals work on a different freq.

From reading the other thread, the flip fobs are made by Siemens, who work on 433.92, and therefore we should be ok smithrc, I think its the 433.00 people who can't

£120 for a spare key??? A bit OTT if you ask me.

Surely you have better things to spend that amount of money on?

I'd have one if they were £20 say....

thats what I was getting at... Very expensive key.

its a national allocated bandwicth anyway , just the frequency used not neccesarily the code which is rolling (changes) anyway

PLUS its written on the sides of the key anway

BUT i agree , keep plate numbers a bit , well you know what i mean
