Been lots of talk about induction kits and MAF problems.

I have an APEXi dry paper induction kit on my FTO. This is connected to the MAF and the car seems to have had no problems. I don't know when it was fitted as it was on the car when i got it but i can keep u posted of any problems if i have any.
It is quite quieter than some other induction kits ive seen, but has a nice growl under hard acceleration.
Oh yeah and it looks great.

I dont know about power gains either but when i get my car rolling roaded soon it might give some indication as the only mods i have are exhaust and induction kit.

Just another option to consider...

Cheers

One subtle but maybe significant point might be type of MAF.
Hot Film on VAG, BOSCH part... fragile and suseptable, but wires breaking is as big a fault as contaminants I've heard. What make is on an FTO?

I just had a look at the car and the MAF is a Mitsubishi part from the looks of it, no other visible logos or numbers. I have a pic of the engine bay attached, and a closeup of the maf if your interested bill?

Didnt realise that broken wires were a problem too with the bosh system.
