Pearl effect is the most beautiful! As you go around the car or looking at different lighting on the paint, it looks as if the paint changes its tone! Generally it is more expensive than metalic paint.
However, none of the pearle or metalic paints are recommended! It is almost not possible to be repaired to the same color tone! Also, acid rain and bird droppings will eventually impair the clear coat that is covering the paint and the paint will be ruinned quickly, especially under the blazing sun in a hot climate! So solid paint is recommended on the long run!

I have a Flash Red (solid paint) Seat Leon which is a lovely colour. No 'swirling' efetcs if washed & polished with care. The paint is not very 'tough' though, lots of stone chips already after only 2k. I would recommended monthly polishing to prevent 'fade' or a treatment such as Diamondbrite. If you look after the paint it will last, I had a 10 year old Audi Quattro in Red & it looked the biz.
