Blimey Bill, not good!, are you able to take some pictures of the cracks?,

I actually ordered Tarox G88 disks for my car from AMD, but luckily they had ordered 280mm instead of the 312mm my car needed, but had some EBC grooved disks in stock so i got these instead!, quite glad now!,

One strange thing i have noticed with the EBC disks and EBC greenstuff pads, is that they work quite a bit better when they are warmed up a bit, and make quite a lot of noise when braking once warm

I have'nt taken any piccies no, and was'nt planning on getting the wheel off again until I change the disks.
The cracks look the same propogation from the machined groove into the web centre section. Some are wider than others.

Mucho dissapointing.
Where are the Cupra R brakes when you want them...

I totally agree with you Mosser, EBC pads do brake much better when warmed up and are a little noisier, but are better than standard.

How have you found your new disks then Mosser?

How many peeps here have called Tar-Ox?
They apparently have recived a lot of calls regarding the disk cracking post.

Just wondering..
Interesting to see how the warranty claim continues..
No replacements received yet. Stuck driving around with cracked disks. Hmmm

Watch this space!

Flapper you are a star mate! :) Sorry you got caught up in the middle of all this. Now why can't so called reputable firms do the right thing and put the customer first? Amethyst (read Flapper) is as ever putting him self out covering other peoples inadequacies, to do the right thing.

See you in the morning...
All the best

I had Ebc 8 grooved disks on my cupra with greenstuff pads allround. I ran them in for 300 miles like they say and they still got blue spots on them! I know the EBC dealer well for aberdeen www.wallaceperformance.co.uk He said they must be faulty, so im getting a set of drilled instead of grooves as the whurring dose my head in! the brakes are much better than the standard ones.
