I've just discovered that my boot will not lock on my Ibiza 20vt! I just happened to check it when I locked the car with the key fob and it opened and the alarm sounded. I then checked it again and it was still open. I then tried to lock it with the key and it will not lock!! Don't know how long it has been like that but it's a bit worrying. Has anyone had similiar problems, and are you sure your boot is locked??!

My dealer is looking at it tomorrow.

Cheers .........

dont panic , a few cars came throuh to us with the same problem ,seems a batch of cars had handles with the shaft in the handle too tight and the grease made em stick http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/tongue.gif after changin for new ones ,SEAT made a paper on modifying the originals . hardly see any at all now ,so i gather tht dodgy batch is cleared through , shouldnt take em long to fix it http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/biggrin.gif http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/biggrin.gif http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/biggrin.gif

Thanks Daz, I got the lock motor replaced this morning by Listers in Coventry, job done in half an hour so now my boot contents are safe again!!
