I have read that they increase boost and hold boost for longer.

But can anyone explain it better?

Also, how much do they cost? And where can they be bought?

Depends what chip/software you will be using the N75 with. Some cars respond well to it, others dont and you can get surging plus overboost.

I have an ottenger ECU and used to have the N75 H, Boosted really aggresively, sometimes overboosted and caused limp mode. Fitted a J and it is much more civilised, but some people have had better results with the H.

All you can do is experiment with them.

I'm guessing by the last letter of the part number, the one i've ordered is a 'J' yes?

What exactly is it? What does the LCR come with as standard?

this controls your boost presure. bit like a bleed valve..... i think.

if you look at where your diverter valve is, its above and to right of this.

i think the 'J' holds boost longer up rev range than standard, (off S3?) the 'H' i think has more aggressive boost spike....

but it does seem to differ on difference cars.. ECU's.. etc...

I believe all the 1.8T 20V engines ship with the standard N75 solenoid which is the F variant.
