View Full Version : wheel arch estensions - NOT KITCAR
i dunno if anyone has seen the latest ibiza accessory catalogue ?
SEAT have released some wheel arch extensions for all side skirted cars (tdi sport/cupra)
i've had a set for a while (adv. info) but only just got round to em .
will post up price/pic etc etc asap
ibizacupra has seen em if you want an opinion ;) but i'd say they are like the escort RSturbo ones (bit wider) and need painting to match or not as the case may be :D

similar to the saxo but ROUGHLY 20mm only
more like accentuations than ARCHES :D

Sounds like good excuse for new wider wheels to me. How much my good man??

Don't expect to be able to run too low though. These are add ons for body styling. Get a wheel that fits the width of these add ons and you got yourself a WIDE old ibiza.
I thought they looked like they would fit quite well personally. Quite neat in fact, but would'nt allow low, without chopping out some metalwork.
Bill
I'm miles from the metal - so should be worth an investigation
any more news on these, or a piccie?
How do these work then? I mean, what happens to the original arches? Do the wider ones just stick on top or what?
got any pictures?
Cheers
Ben
basically in a word YEP
like an extension to the sills really
anyone local got a camera (mines broke) i can then temp stick em on and get a pic
So if they just stick on then how does that allow you to stick wider tyres on?
I mean, I want to put on 215x40x16 tyres but the arches probably arn't quite wide enough, but just sticking on extensions wont make the arches any wider from he inside.
Has anyone tried rolling out the arches on the Ibiza to get bigger wheels/tyres in? Can it be done?
Thanks
Ben
try this
I THINK i can just make em out
will get a better pic though

I found a better pic.
They might look smart if they were blend into the arches ????
If they're the same as the ones I saw fitted to the yellow second hand Cupra R at Marshalls in Cambridge, I thought they looked crap. Very RS turbo-ish style wise but didn't suit the car, very Halfords cheap and nasty. The ones on the pic. (above post) look 500% better and suit the car.
The yellow paint didn't match on the ones I saw so that didn't help either.
Stuff the arcges, where to I get the front bumper and evo style fogs on that Ibiza Flapper?
:)
