Am I right in thinking that the brake fluid in my 2000 Cupra is silicon based (ie not mineral). Have had the ABS warning light come on under acceleration and braking. Though a top up might be in need.

I've had the same thing on mine! Scared the shi* out of me at first.
Were you treated to the red light and audiable beeps as well?!!!
I'd just take it to your local dealer and get them to top it up for you.

Thats the one and yeh! scared the shit out of me. If I can be certain of the fluid I top it up myself (saves driving 20 miles).
Any thoughts?. I think mineral is only in Citreons really.
