After having the car remapped on saturday, im happy with the extra power and heaps of torque but ive found that, especially in 3rd gear on that the car seems to accelerate with surges/fluctuations , ive bought a boost gauge and will be fitting it at the weekend, im wondering whether its the wastegate or recirc valve not being able to deal with whatever level of boost is running, or maybe something else. i know the power is there as i was faster than the cupra tdi ibiza running 202 bhp on the way home, has anyone else felt/had this happen after a remap?
ive ran her about 100 miles since the remap now so the adaptive stuff should hopefully be working.

theres a thread somewhere relating to revo and surging brend, adaptation, might be the same for your map.

yea i read it but didnt seem to be exactly the same, on mine it only seems to happen on full tit, she feels like she is holding back a little, still goes well though.

ooh and with the extra boost would i be better getting a forge recirc valve, if so which?, the 006 or 007p?
reason i ask is that on the forge site it says the 006 is for higher boost applications.

007P can have additional springs in the tuning kit to cope with higher boosts (if) req'd.

That said, I run bog stock 007P on mine... 25psi boost on IHI.. no problemo.
