I am looking for a "translation" to the vehicle data sticker in my Inspection and Maintenance book.

Does anyone knows the meaning of all the codes there? Which is the color code? the engine code? the transmition code? the interior fittings codes? etc.

Please Lee, can you give us a full "translation" to the data sticker?

i can sort out the top half as it says on the sticker itself , albeit ALWAYS misaligned ,should state vehicle model type, engine size and number ,colour code etc etc. the bottom right is the trim code usually CA/CB/CC etc on beezas .

As for ALL the 3 digit gibberish it all gives the production line info on what spec etc the car needs to be as it is built ,they are used in the parts side to distinguish types etc BUT to be honest they are not that accurate and I can say I have only used em ONCE ever and that was when we were REALLY stuck on getting a toledo door trim

Hey mate,

Just to let you know that Flapper is still on holiday. In fact if I've got the days right he should be out in America at the moment. He'll be back at work next week though. Assuming he doesn't have too good a time and doesn't come back! http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/cool.gif

Cheers
Andy
