View Full Version : Cupra R badges
I'm about to buy a 200bhp Ibiza Cupra from SJBSport and I'd like to badge it up as a Cupra R. Does anyone know if Seat Dealers sell Cupra R badges?
Cheers,
Ben

I'd personally de-badge the car (maybe just have a std cupra badge on the front and back).
Then take pride in making all S3/TT/Impreza owners cry when you give them a good ass-kicking from what will appear to be a std Cupra!

Sounds like a plan!

I have a black Ibiza cupra with RSD 210 conversion and I have just badged it up as a cupra R looks great, keeps the wanna be sports cars away, so I dont have to waste petrol showing them and then confuding the big boys. Like the carrera 2 I had a play with the other day only really losing him at 142mph lost my arse after that, as it was a A road (not straight)and my brakes had been done 20 miles previous not a good move for hard braking but worth the look on the porsche driver face http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/smile.gif http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/smile.gif http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/smile.gif http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/biggrin.gif If you want the badges have a word with Darren at Anethyst the part numbers are in the forum aswell cant remember where though http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/rolleyes.gif http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/confused.gif

The info about the Cupra R badges, is in the "Hints and Tips" forum.
Sounds like a sneaky plan to leave the badges off, and then surprise everything else on the road!! http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/biggrin.gif http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/biggrin.gif

Duncan, I think I've seen your Ibiza around Warwick/Leamington, have you changed the wheels? If it is yours it looks the b*ll*cks! I've seen a yellow one around Warwick driven by some bird with really naff Cupra R stickers all over it, sort it out women! Looking to get the full RSD conversion done, just had the DV for now. If I see you at the traffic lights I'll leave you well alone, hehe!!
Simon.

Sorry standard wheels on mine at the moment Simon must be another one floating round our areas, there starting to pop up everywhere! But it is next on my list along with a six speed box I might be getting hold of, off a very low mileage leon should be interesting. The six pot tarox I was getting have caused just a few problems like the wheels not fitting back on DOOH! So on with the AP's next week http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/tongue.gif not much else left to do after that dont want to make it look Max Power http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/biggrin.gif might see you around as my girlfriends mum lives around by you and I make a few journeys around your way http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/biggrin.gif http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/biggrin.gif

Just my opinion and don't take offence but I think its a bit sad sticking R badges on. Like Saxo VTR owners who put VTS & 16V badges on. You both have very quick cars - no need to put an R badge on. Why not just keep to the tuners badges?
Or keep it standard and keep em guessing

I'm sure the SJB Sport 20VT will be badged accordingly (Cupra 200 or something like that).
I don't see why anyone would want people thinking it's a Cupra R when they are widely renowned for being seriously over priced and very poor value in comparison with the std Cupra and it's competition (Clio Sport 172).
This is just my opinion and I don't want to hurt/p155 anyone off. http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/smile.gif
The Cupra R is a great car.........just a shame it's so bloody expensive!

why not just put a little '200' in reflective white under the Cupra badge? http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/wink.gif
