Gents,

I'm looking at getting the above amp because it has got high level inputs (sh#ty ibiza stereo). My questions is that the amp is a 4 channel but can 2 of the channles be bridged to power a sub and leave the other 2 channels free to power the front components?

Cheers,

Brian

Yes as long as the amp has independent hi/low level pass filters to each 2 ch set. which im sure it does.

Means you can drive a set of speakers on the front 2ch set, and use the high level.

And bridge the rear 2ch set into one and then set it to Low Pass for the subwoofer.

I think this is the same setup as Saul, over to you Saul??

Aye it willl work a treat. Aslong as it has the inbuilt x-overs.

Im running a 400.4, when u use the high level inputs tho, to make life easier, just "split" each of the rear inputs so u can plug em into the front inputs, saves u running cable all the way from the front speakers.

It will sound good, but while u have the doors off, i would reccomend some sound deadening, i didnt, and am a bit gutted that i didnt.

have fun

I hear another VanillaICE visit calling then mate... hehehe

When I'm more sorted I have a couple of cool ideas for the re-install that will give you a bit o room in the boot.. ;) ;)

Question about my RF amp....tis a 2800? anyway, it's two channel and i'm going to use it for my subwoofer. Anyway. The high level inputs have a left / right and ground input. Now how do I convert the 4 outputs from the head unit i.e Left + Left - Right + Right - so as to be able to use the 3 high level inputs....

I could of course get a high -> low level converter, but I suspect i'd get a bit too much noise.

Cheers
