Been trying to talk myself out of having NOS installed at JBS but have noticed Bill is now selling Aquamist systems.
But as always questions questions....
Have always like the idea of water injection, but is there any point to having NOS and Water?? After all, NOS is 'quite' a coolant!
Would they work okay together??
Is it worth even looking at Aquamist at this time of year??
Any comments welcome.

Have you thought about cryo?

If cryo is what i think it is, I have been told that you cant use this on the stock intercoolers.....?!

You can use it on any IC, and it isnt just IC sprays! there is a 3 different options
IC spray
Blanket cooling
and intake coolant (a tear drop wich freezes and sits ion the intake to elivaite high temperatures!)
There are many opinions about NOS however if installed by experts you can get a MODEST power increase without the need for upgrading internals and the cooling effect of the NOS will help the engine to run better as intake temps will fall - go silly though and you've had it.
I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong but cryo and aquamist really only benefit the highly modified to consistently run at the maximum level so for the most of us it is perhaps not the greatest investment.
NOS- go silly though and you've had it.
.
250bhp added off the line and 350bhp added 0.55 sec later fine for 3 runs no problem
reset retard/advance curve for testing which was in error by 1 degree - bang 2 pistons gone - and a lot of sticky bores
can't agree more

You mad bugger you! :drive2:

Read on here that stock intercoolers have plastics end tanks - I think the considered opinion is cooling the intercoolers too quick would crack the end tanks.

Run high boost sustained and you will stil get v.hot induction temps..
Run NOS and Water injection? Concurrently?? I would'nt,.. you have said yourself.. NOS is 'quite' a coolant.. sub blummin zero..
Too much and you will do a James.. and stick a leg ou of bed.. rod wise..
Moderate NOS and benefit form its cooling ability as much as anything..
Not sure I would be arsed to put up with bottle changes myself. I would fear for the stock rods with high torque from NOS. Filling up washer bottle with water I can live with.. and remember to aquire some Methanol from time to time. :)
I understand insurers take a dim view of Nitrous and charge the earth if they even agree to cover you?
For chipped K03 or K04 cars, standard IC's with water injection (not water spray) would be very cost-effective, compared to uprated SMICs.
I have to agree with glen. The water injection on mine has dropped intake temps by 20C on full boost. Going from a side mount to a front mount gave me about 15C.
I've also been able to run 5 degrees more timing advance than without it.
I've stuck a 5.5l waterbottle off a glof with headlamp washers, and it lasts me 5 tanks af fuel before I have to refil it, so not a big issue.

Well the new MG beats that are coming out have an optional extra of nos, as a factory fitted item!

Think it costs a bit more than my £18000 Cupra R though!!!? :-o
