Never did work out how to get mine off and the price of a new one was mad! amazing what glue can do! :D
You hold on to the bass of the aerial and you give a quick sharp pull on the aerial and it should come out. I have done this and replaced it with a short Ally one...

I've just tried yanking my arial out using Daz's expert advice but it seems to be fixed in solid. :(
Any other ideas?
I think the arial base is the same on all models isnt it?
Keep trying mate it does work..

If at first you don't succeed - try a bit of brute force and ignorance :)
