Top Tip ; Don't ever boast about deliberately wrecking a car on a forum when you are trying to get it repaired under warranty, it will eventually end up costing you loads of money.
Especially don't try and pretend it was all a joke to get out of paying for it yourself, as inevitably dealers do read the forums.
Also if you can, delete all the recorded evidence on the forum, that way they still can't prove that you are to bame.
As practiced by vennuth

mmm.. do detect someone has experience of this?
they're not deleted - we've moved them out of sight
also don't do it if it's your dad's car (should add that to the list)

His dads car, really ? that's interesting,he always made it out like it was his, i wonder if his dad had a chance to read the threadsbefore they wer emoved and that's why vennuth has been very quite today - maybe sent to his room, or working overtime to pay for it to get fixed
I thought he was joking when he said it cost him £1350, no wonder he regrets posting those tales of exciting driving on and past the limit all the time
:-o his dad's car is this right?

its not his dads car...... and he is having to pay it all thanks to a couple of dic headed members....
its one thing taking the piss, quite another costing someone £1350, think about it

Did those members drive the car on its rev limit change down gears at max revs and then shout about it on a website thats read by main dealers including Listers and by SEAT UK????
I think not. Only one person to blame.

agreed, but is it anyone's else's business to shout about it to the dealers & SEAT UK? (and cost him £1350) :thumbd:
maybe, but that is the risk you take if you post in the public domain of your exploits.....As I mentioned before, without checking, I suspect the powers that be will have already read about said exploits.
