hi,
i need some warrenty work done on my 53 SE toledo
1 - armrest keeps dropping randomly
2 - humming noise on full let lock
3 - pulls lightly to the left
4 - last night after the rain, there was a puddle in the front passenger footwell (couild not find point of entry though)
quesiton is, Colliers warwick rd are the nearest, and they want me to insure the curtesy car, is this normal?
how long for these things do you think they should take?

In order:
1. Maybe adjustment or replacement part - normally 2 days to get parts.
2. This could be a steering rack or power steering pump.
3. This could be a caliper sticking causing uneven pressure if this is happening under braking. Hows the wheel alignmnet? Any uneven tyre wear?
4. Sounds to me like windscreen seal or maybe pollen filter area - do a search on forum.
I've jsut put my car into Lincoln Seat - I had to put the car on my insurance, seems like a hire car to me  . If I were to use the garage insurance it would be £15 per day. :censored:
Time frame depends on thier findings and availability of parts. Clearly could take 2 days to a week.

Yeah, Same "service" was offered to me by them. Other garages (non-SEAT) have done the same but some seem to absorb the excess (£15). I'd be interested to hear of your Lincoln SEAT experience as mine has been "interesting" to say the very least!

my cupra is in for its 10k service today, all they do is phone my insurance people and use the temporary substitute method, means im insured fully comp on the ibiza and while my leon is in its covered by their site insurance.
btw has anyone noticed that the 1.2 3cyl ibiza sounds like a baby porsche especially when coasting in gear to slow down!! funky, pity its got no guts though. oh and the seats arnt adjustable up nor down , i feel like my head will hit the roof on every corner.
getting back to the insurance thing, a lot of companines have a minimum charge thing going on where if you do use a temp sub car and the admin is less than 25 quid, they dont charge at all!! which is nice for a change!
