Ibiza 20vt standard speakers

Has anyone else noticed how shite the standard Ibiza 20vt speakers are? They must be the most gutless pieces of shite I've ever heard!

Welcome abord m8....yes this have been a favorite thread starter for a year or so...I have sitting in my cupboard (just about see them) the moulded paper shite originals.

Where did you get your beezer? GC? Meadens?

Where in Southampton r u? i'm near Romsey (not Salisbury...keep meaning to change that!)

I live in Shirley. I got my car from Westerham SEAT in Kent cos Meadens and GC only had yellow ones for sale over the past couple of months. I dont mind the yellow one but I particularly wanted black which is what I got in the end. Were the speakers (particularly the front door ones) easy to replace? What sort of price would it be for some decent replacements? I think if you were to ask SEAT what BASS was they wouldnt have a clue!!! I'm gonna have my 12 inch sub and amp put in this week, which dissapointed me a bit when I found out it has to be wired in via the rear speakers as you cant put it direct to the stereo. The guy in the shop reckons this will lose quality a bit but nevermind!

Just in case you were interested in the pioneer range, heres what they do.

I originally had the blue TS-H series in my 98 1.4 ibiza, and i was Very happy with the sound.

But when i came to fit them in my 2001 20VT ibiza, they were recked (tweeters blown).

So i went out on saturday and got the next best pioneer ones, the shop i got them from also stocked MB Quart gear but i hadn't heard of them until now!! (maybe i'd've gone for some of those if i had)

so now i have TS-4638 in the rear
