Hi

Test drove the new toledo on Sat - in 2L TDI 6 speed manual guise.

Basically it felt very nice indeed, very car like to drive and plenty quick, buckets of torque but runs out of revs at 4.5K so need to stir those gears (which is why DSG sounds like a good idea) - little roll through corners and very composed

Loads of room in the back (take 2 sets of wheels no problem !) - very nice rear seats that fold flat to floor without taking headrests off. Great front seats.

I like the look of it also - very modern and a little away from the norm - which I like. Looks well agressive from the front.

Are test driving a Golf 2L TDI with DSG on Wed this week - just to test out DSG. If its good, then are probably going to order Toledo 2L TDI/DSG. Only problem then is having to wait 3 months for one.

Anyone else driven one yet ?

Cheers

Rob

Nope not yet, where was that at?

I wasn't aware they'd released them to dealers so quickly, thought it would be the New Year, anyway cool :D Sounds like you approve anyway.

I havent driven it, but my boyfs brother has just bought a new golf 2.0 GTI TDI with DSG and it is RAPID......hardly feel the gear change and the power through the gears is constant!!!!.......only thing is, he a bit tame so hasnt played "properly" with it.......the demonstration he gave me was impressive non the less!!!! :D

It is only 140Bhp but felt as rapid as the old Bora TDIPD 150 that we used to have....cant wait for the new GTI that was on TOP GEAR t'other night!!!!

i've driven the 2 litre tdi, inside it feels just like the Altea, which is slowly growing on me, but on the outside i hate the thing. think Seat have gone a bit :censored: on styling. drove the north west area managers car who i am good friends with. (Maybe i should ask him to get me an Ibiza Cupra!)

I drove it today! Quite nice really!

Why do you have to wait 3 months?
As the release date is Jan 7th! :D

Not getting one now - decided 19K was too much for a Seat when public reaction has not yet been gauged - could end up losing a lot of money - Toledo's in past have been bargain 2nd-hand buys (like Sauls) but of course this means the 1st buyer got stung bad - I'm not prepared to do this with 19K !

Gonna keep the Leon going with an extended warrenty - £290 for a year which includes RAC cover so quite good really.

And look for a separate tow vehicle, like a diesel VW transporter van for eg

Cheers
