Hi,
I picked up my Altea 2.0 TDI DSG at the weekend. I am overall please although I was disappointed to find the sunglasses storage case that it supposed to be on all models where the drivers grab handle is, was missing.
Has anyone else got this or is it missing too? I have added a poll.
Thanks,

hi mate, another altea owner - excellent.
We have a 2.0TDi sport 6-speed.
i am sad to report that we also have no sunglass storage case. Although to be honest i am not to bothered about it.
Looks like they changed the spec.
How is the DSG box and what do you think of the 2.0Tdi???

Hi,
The shifts on the DSG are excellent, the only clue the gear has changed is from the rev counter, and slight change in engine note. Only downside is slight delay in response from a standing start at a round about. Wish paddles were an option though. :(
I'm running in still, but the demonstrator I drove, was not quite as responsive as my previous petrol 1.8T 150bhp audi auto. The fuel economy out ways this though. 48mpg on first 100 miles. :)
What colour is yours, I went for emocion red.

ours is platinum grey. The demonstrator we went out in was red.
Looks like you are getting fairly good mpg. We have covered 1900 miles and the best i have seen is 49.9 and worst 39.9.
Perhaps it is the way i drive it....

Yet another item that's listed in either the brochure or owners manual that's missing! Add that to the global closure, cruise control light, heated mirrors, welcome-back lighting etc mentioned in other threads. Seems like (as often happens) the specs have changed since the literature was produced. I remember the brochure for my Cordoba said it had rain-sensing wipers - it didn't! Great cars though I am very impressed but feel the 2.0TDI could be a bit punchier - perhaps when they have done 10k or so they will be.
If you really want a sunglasses holder (and they're pretty handy) and they haven't changed the hole centres from the mkIV-based cars, they're £11 HERE (http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=888&osCsid=9f5c003763d30a4d898508c504c7832a)

Thanks very much for that link Mark.
I think I'll get one, as it frees up more space for other things.
Its a shame Seat skimped on the spec, as it's little touches that make the car more enjoyable.
